Know before you go

Here we are! As promised here is all you need to know in preparation for the big weekend.

It is no secret to any of you how much we love New Orleans, so it seemed fitting to celebrate our thirty years together here.

New Orleans feels like a city that woke up centuries ago and never stopped dancing. It’s humid, seductive, a little rough around the edges, and totally unbothered by it. Jazz leaks out of doorways. Strangers talk to you like you’re already part of their story. The air smells like spices, river water, and something frying. Time moves differently—slower, looser, with room for detours and late nights.
It’s a place of ghosts and vodoo, where cocktails appear before noon, and the line between elegance and chaos is thin. We hope you will love it as much as we do.

Useful Tips

- Money: Cash is king in New Orleans. ( Get it at the airport) There are tons of street musicians performing everywhere. You will need it.

 - Restaurants: If you don't plan to hang with us on Friday night, refer to the What To Do section for restaurant recommendations. Restaurant reservations are required and you should make them at least a week in advance.

 - Safety: New Orleans is like any other big city -  but louder. Keep your head about you. Walking in the French Quarter at night is safe but it's best to get a cab if you are alone. Download the Uber app. if you don't have it already.

What do I wear?

So glad you asked! Spring in New Orleans can flip from warm to cool depending on the year. I’ll share a weather update closer to the date for those flying in from Europe.

By day, think relaxed and bohemian—flowy dresses, airy tops, whatever feels effortless. By night, turn it up. In this city, the absurd is normal, so bring the hat, the statement jacket, the shirt that’s been waiting for its moment. And leave your heels at home (yes, I’m looking at you). You’ll be walking and dancing nonstop, and you will regret them.
